La Cucina di San Pietro a Pettine Truffle Lunch

Tucked away in the beautiful Umbrian countryside, not far from Assisi, La Cucina di San Pietro a Pettine lies in the heart of the San Pietro a Pettine Estate, with its fertile truffle grounds, 13th-century Romanesque church and breathtaking views over the Spoletina Valley. Using fresh truffles, a passion of the Caporicci family for generations, the fragrant subterranean fungus is artfully combined with the best ingredients of the region and perfectly captures the spirit of this magical place, in which elegance and genuine Umbrian hospitality unite for an unforgettable experience. Arriving for a special truffle lunch, the menu of this special restaurant features truffles collected from the estate every day, and the meal was indeed a gastronomic feast. Bounty from the 800 hectares of protected truffle grounds is used in the restaurant, along with dishes that Alice Caporicci prepares fresh every day, from pasta to bread and desserts. At “La Cucina” one can buy not only their fresh truffles, but also a range of truffles products made to Alice’s recipes, tried and tested in the restaurant.
