The Ebrington Arms: An Idyllic 16th-Century Pub

 




Surrounded by rolling hills by Chipping Campden in the idyllic village of Ebrington, The Ebrington Arms is a beautiful, unspoilt 16th-century village pub with roaring log fires and a lovely beer garden, serving excellent award-winning homemade food that has held two AA rosettes and a Bib Gourmand for the past seven years running, and listed in the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs. 
Open seven days a week, this award-winning, family-run establishment is housed in a beautiful stone building dating from the 1640s, complete with roaring fireplaces and exposed beams that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. 

Celebrated for its farm-to-table ethos, offering a menu that showcases the finest local and seasonal produce, from hearty, traditional pub fare to more refined dishes, each plate is crafted with care and creativity. Their Sunday roasts are particularly popular, and their vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options ensure that every palate is catered for. Complementing the excellent food is an extensive wine list, including ales brewed in their very own Yubby Brewery, the Cotswolds 'best bitter'. 

Arriving for dinner after a day exploring Oxford, we settled at a lovely wooden table in front of the inglenook fireplace, and enjoyed a glass of champagne as we admired the evenings menu. Beginning with a heartwarming Celeriac Soup with tangy blue cheese beignets and celery cress, and Pea Risotto with courgette, mint and feta cheese, we followed with the delicious Grilled Halibut with beurre blanc, sweet corn, bell pepper and sprouts, and Roasted Chicken Breast with chicken fat mash, Hispi cabbage and bourguignon sauce. The heart and soul of this rural village, The Ebrington Arms is a haven for farmers and foodies offering good food, ales and a warm welcome.
