Ming's: Chinese Cuisine at The Mandalay Hill Resort

Specializing in fine Chinese cuisine, Ming's Asian Kitchen at the Mandalay Hill Resort in Myanmar is the hotel's most upscale dining option aside from the spectacular palm fringed Kinsana Garden Theatre set under the stars with panoramic views of a pagodas on the surrounding hills. Featuring authentic Cantonese, Thai and Burmese dishes in an elegant dining room with classic red and gold décor, Asian artifacts, dark wood finishings and atmospheric lighting a in paper Chinese lanterns, Ming's signature dish is traditional Cantonese-Style Oven Roasted Duck served with Chinese pancakes, home-made savoury plum sauce, Japanese cucumber strips and scallions, which of course we had to order and pleased that we did as it was plump, juicy and delicious. Ee-Fu Noodle Soup with Seafood is a classic Chinese soup made with long golden, chewy Cantonese egg noodles, sometimes known as 'longevity' noodles, a popular dish at Chinese New Year. Throughout the meal, endless refills of hot green tea was served by a 'tea-man', using lovely white porcelain cups with a small lid to keep it piping hot during the evening. After dinner, refreshing chilled jasmine scented towels arrived on a silver tray for an elegant finishing touch to a delicious evening.
